Philip SHANAHAN QFA | Associate Consultant

Philip has 21 years experience in the financial services industry.

This consisted of 6 years as a Sales Representative for New Ireland Assurance; 4 years as a Financial Advisor for Friends Provident and 5 years as a Bancassurance Consultant for Irish Permanent Life and Pensions.

He moved his career into a different sphere when he joined Royal Liver Assurance as a Trainer. Three years later, he was promoted to Training Manager for Ireland.

As Training Manager, Philip was responsible for managing a training team and for the the identification of training needs and design and delivery of training in areas such as Technical & Product knowledge; Point of Sale software, Sales Process, Selling skills, Telephone skills (sales-force & telesales teams); Customer Service; Anti Money Laundering; Regulation/Compliance; creation and implementation of Product Exams and Skills Assessments; Coaching for Sales Managers; Activity Management; Support workshops for individuals preparing for LIA Exams and Train the Trainer.

Philip is QFA qualified, a Fellow of the LIA and an Associate member of IITD.

He completed his Trainer Training at the Institute of Learning, Coventry (included training & assessment in TAP training method), Management skills training completed in IMI; Master Trainer programme in IMI and a Certified Practitioner of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming).
